چکیده
Actinomycetia are known for their ability to produce a wide range of bioactive secondary metabolites having significant therapeutic importance. This study aimed explore the potential actinomycetia as source compounds with antimicrobial properties against multi-drug-resistant (MDR) clinical pathogens. A total 65 were isolated from two unexplored forest ecosystems, namely Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary (PWS) and Deepor Beel (DBWS), located in Indo-Burma mega-biodiversity hotspots northeast India, out which 19 isolates exhibited activity. 16S rRNA gene sequencing was used identification phylogenetic analysis potent isolates. The results reveal that most dominant genus among Streptomyces (84.21%), followed by rare genera such Nocardia, Actinomadura, Nonomuraea. Furthermore, seventeen tested positive at least one antibiotic biosynthetic gene, specifically type II polyketide synthase (PKS-II) nonribosomal peptide synthetases (NRPSs). These genes associated production properties. Among strains, three sp. PBR1, PBR36, DBR11, demonstrated activity seven test determined through vitro bioassays minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values ethyl acetate extracts. Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GS-MS) whole-genome (WGS) strains revealed diverse group metabolite clusters (smBGCs), respectively, indicating high potential. findings highlight these microorganisms serve valuable resource discovery development novel antibiotics other therapeutics

Repurposing Clinical Molecule Ebselen to Combat Drug Resistant Pathogens
Without a doubt, our current antimicrobials are losing the battle in the fight against newly-emerged multidrug-resistant pathogens. There is a pressing, unmet need for novel antimicrobials and novel approaches to develop them; however, it is becoming increasingly difficult and costly to develop new antimicrobials. One strategy to reduce the time and cost associated with antimicrobial innovation...
متن کاملVentilator-associated pneumonia in a tertiary care hospital in India: role of multi-drug resistant pathogens.
BACKGROUND Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP) is the most frequent intensive-care-unit (ICU)-acquired infection. The aetiology of VAP varies with different patient populations and types of ICUs. METHODOLOGY A prospective study was performed over a period of 15 months in a tertiary care hospital to determine the various aetiological agents causing VAP and the prevalence of multidrug resista...
